無野之城 / City Without Baseball
雲翔“無野之城”編劇, 監製, 導演2004年從澳洲回港, 一個不經意的約會, 令我做了件一生中最認真的事, 也可能改寫了十幾位年青人的人生.
在朋友那個電話前, 我并不知道香港有人打棒球(野球), 還有個像樣的代表隊; 他問我能否拍條記錄片, 我就到了藍田晒草灣球場.
第一個訪問的香子俊, 秀氣得像日本偶像, 原來是讀時裝設計, 能彈善唱的樂隊主音. 隊長區穎良是左手將, 兄弟幫. 教練台灣來的, 外號”大帥哥”. 見到韓星模樣的捕手阿忠時, 我開始有了個想法…
沿住場邊女生的喝采聲, 我找到了梁宇聰; 他回頭揚眉那一瞬, 我就知道: 任何性別和性取向, 都會被他的星目射穿---棒球投手的那一股神, 那一道氣!
我拿出點積蓄, 找老媽子也湊一份, 開始寫, 籌, 拍”無野之城”.
不需要找”明星”, 在哪能找到這9個5呎11吋的英俊青年? 而且他們有空陪我由黃昏”劈”起, 狂笑住互數交女友的趣史, 痛哭住訴說在泰國輸掉那場比賽的失望, 然後掄住唱最喜歡的”童話”. 天亮了, 大醉散去, 下午再回球場練球, 教球…
鏡頭前, 他們坦然在更衣室打鬥, 在球場裸跑, 在海灘裸擁; 除了對令人心寒的偽善代名詞: ”形象”不感興趣, 他們還有一個熱切的期望: 讓人們了解他們的存在, 奮鬥, 挫敗, 夢想. 這一團火燒去了所有的偽裝, 盡露了純真的身軀和靈魂.
不需要找導演, 劉國昌為玉成其事, 分文不收拍了再說, 老導演也有火.
這是部關於失落的電影, 3年裡, 我們無悔付出, 也得到了很多.
本來無一物, 無野之城.

Holding Trevor
Everybody’s looking for something. And Trevor Holden is desperately looking for himself in all the wrong places… Or maybe just in all the wrong people. It’s safe to say that he won’t find enlightenment in his strung-out boyfriend. And despite the advice of his sexually pervasive best friend and self-righteous roommate, Trevor still seems to come up short. Ready to throw in the towel, Trevor happens upon Mr. Right, who refuses to let Trevor give up. But, sometimes, a step in the right direction means forging a whole new path. Holding Trevor is continually poignant, relentlessly self-deprecating, and just the type of cerebral dark comedy that can speak directly to the twenty-somethings of today while letting other generations in on the joke.
