金字塔尖的帅男---The Herndon Monument Climb

The Herndon Monument Climb traditionally marks the end of the freshman, or Plebe, year at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The class, numbering over 1000, has a final challenge: scale the Herndon Monument, and replace the Plebe beanie at the top with a Midshipman's cap. The monument has been liberally coated with lard the evening before by upperclassmen, who also helpfully spray water on the plebes during the climb.

THE TASK IS SIMPLE: REPLACE A PLEBE HAT PLACED ON THE TOP OF A GRANITE MONUMENT WITH A MIDSHIPS CAP. AND AS WITH EVERYTHING ELSE DONE IN THE MILITARY, THIS TOO NEEDS TO BE DONE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. EASY, NO?
